On Saturday, and, yes, I know I’m bad about updating, I got myself out the door and managed to run 9 miles. It was about 40 degrees when I walked out the door, but being in shorts and a “thermal” running shirt kept me pretty comfortable for the run. I actually felt a little warm a time or two, and my hat was certainly soaked with sweat when I was done.
Anyways, the run went pretty good as far as my body was feeling. My legs / shins hurt just a wee bit, and my calves are still a little tender this morning. I’m not feeling like going for a run today, but maybe I’ll get a couple miles in later in the afternoon.
The plan is to do 10 miles next Saturday and then dial it back down to 7 the following week as a taper.. then the race on November 6! I’ve yet to come up with a plan for recovery and then being ready for the Vegas race.
